Project Information
Meta, formerly known as the Facebook company, is partnering with Hensel Phelps to build a data center in Kuna, Idaho. The Kuna Data Center is Meta’s 15th data center campus in the US and 19th globally. The project includes preconstruction and construction services for a data center facility and ongoing support, including retrofits and services. The new technology center is bringing 1,200+ construction jobs at peak.
The construction scope for this project includes site utilities infrastructure (storm sewer, sanitary sewer, power, water, and Outside Plant (OSP) fiber loop pathways), site roadways and paving, and campus access control. Hensel Phelps will be partnering with the full service architecture and engineering firm, HDR, to deliver this data center.
Additionally, Hensel Phelps is partnering with Meta and the City of Kuna to deliver a 2,130,000 square foot water/wastewater supply plant. This project consists of 4 wells and storage tanks for the water supply system, and 5 lagoons for the wastewater system that will be connected to the data center through miles of underground piping and pumps. Hensel Phelps is working with local contractors on this project and will turn it over to the City of Kuna for operations upon completion.
